Hello,

Looking to purchase a .40 and I'm stuck between the PT 100 AF and the S&W M&P 40. I cant find current reviews for the PT so I hope those of you who have one will chime in. Thanks in advance.

Just my opinion but, I'd stear clear of the Smith, they still make a great revolver but their semi-auto leaves alot to be desired. Their customer service (to use the term loosely) is getting worse and worse. I've owned a 100 prior to buying my Beretta and can say the quality of the Taurus is every bit as good as Beretta. HTH

How often are you planning on shooting your pistol? Less than 500 rounds for it's entire life? If so, the Taurus might be an okay pick over the S&W, but that's is only if you will save alot of $ by opting for the Taurus.

There is nothing wrong with the S&W M&P pistols. They are quality products at affordable prices. They are gaining huge ground in the Law Enforcement market, stripping away what was traditionally Glock territory.

And no, Taurus is not the same quality of Beretta. Ever heard of a police department or government agency in the U.S. that issues Taurus firearms?

Personally I like PT100 AF. I saw many videos related to its shots.. That was excellent.
