Mine is 2.8 Grains bullseye, 38 special case, CCI 500 primer, 148 grain Speer Hollow base wadcutter. For extra fun, put the wadcutter in upside down, makes a great pop can filled with water load!!
This is a very accurate target load, and when you buy the lead in bulk, it makes for a very economical load.

I learned the hard way to use a magnum primer when using a ball powder like win 296,great powder and the most accurate in both of my 44 mags and 357 mag.Drop-Shot

For a .38 load I'd go with125 gr. GoldenSaber, and for a .357 mag. I'd go with a 125 gr. Federal.

For .357 target loads:
Hornady 158 gr. JHP
Federal brass - trim to 1.280"
Federal or Winchester primer
7.2 gr. Unique
Very slight crimp.
SUPER accurate load in my mdl 19.
Very mild. almost like shooting a .38 Spec.

I like the Montana Gold bullet 158 gr CMJ for both loads:
for .38 spl I use 3.7 grains of Hodgon Titegroup, CCI primer
for .357 mag I use 5.6 grains of Hodgdon Titegroup, CCI primer.
both loads perform very well.
