I recently recieved a 1960's model liberty 32 pistol that my grandfather purchased when he worked on the railroad when there were alot of riots going on in the 60's. I know this pistol is refered to as the saturday night special or pocket pistol but I cant find any info on the west german company liberty.I did read one article that many of these pistols were destroyed due to them being involved in so many robberies and murders. This particular gun is in mint condition and I will never sell it but Im curios to see the value. If anyone can help it would be very appreciated.

The only info I could find for a .32 caliber Liberty pistol was a Spanish made pistol, not German.

Here is a link to that pistol: http://www.littlegun.be/arme%20espagnol ... r%20gb.htm

If that is not your pistol, tell me every marking on your pistol and I will try to identify the maker, and then we may get you a value.

Here are a couple of pics of the pistol , the symbol in pic 2 kinda looks like a viking or something and below that it is stamped HW3 and below that there are three symbols in a row the first looks likea bird possibly the next symbol is a shield with checkering in it and the last symbol is an open shield stamped 67. The pistol is marked on the other side MADE IN GERMANY and also Kal.32S.u.W long. I hope this info will help to identify better !

Your REVOLVER was manufactured by Herman Weihrauch Sportwaffenfabrik of Mellrichstadt/Bayern, West Germany.

It is an Arminius, model HW3. The proof marks show that it received it's official government proof test in 1967 at the West German proof house in Munich, West Germany. It would have been manufactured in 1967, or shortly before.

The face on the revolver is that of Arminius, a German warrior hero from the 1st Century A.D.

Value for your revolver, if in excellent condition is $75.00 to $100.00.
