Years ago my Dad gave me this revolver.

It has a four inch barrel and is blue with walnut grips.

Can you help with me with a manufacturer date and approximate value?

I would rate it as excellent plus condition.

    And it shoots fantastic.

    Serial # 2070174

    Thanks, Vic

The R-107 version was a later version of thes great .22 revolver. If I remember right, it has a full length lug under the barrel, a ramp front sight, and a high grip. The 1987 Gun Digest I am looking at says they listed then for $230 with fixed sights and $250 with adjustable, both in 4" barrel blue. Mine is an old model, maybe 30 years older than yours, and it still is a great shooter. Old models like mine sell for $150 and up, and the short barrel models are nearly $300.
I have not seen a R 107 for sale in maybe 25 years. Keep it.

Also, Midway USA has speedloaders for your 9-shot revolver if you are interested - they are listed for H&R's and work perfectly with the High Standard.

A lot of people are starting to appreciate how well made and designed these revolvers were, and I believe prices will go up in the future.

    Enjoy it.
