I recently inherited a .32 S&W (short) from my grandfather. As it is almost impossible to buy ammo for this gun in my area, I bought lee dyes, winchester brass and primers and hornady lead (32 cal XTP) (.312" diameter) so i could load my own ammo. but when i pressed the lead into the brass the lead would not fit. The lead seemed to be to large for the brass. does anyone have any reloading experience with this caliber? or could offer any help? i would really appreciate your help

rj, I'm no expert on reloading......but,

Cases must be slightly "flared" so the bullet will fit in without messing up the brass. Then the final step would be to crimp the brass case back tight against the lead bullet.

Do you have a reloading manual for your load? If not you really need to beg/borrow/steal one before you get too far into reloading. Public library would probably have one.

Powder companies normally have on-line copies.

You can check on-line for ammunition here:
