Anyone know how to find the sammi specs for the correct bore diameter of the .357 mag revolver? I have one that measures .344 and has a bullet jacket stuck two inches from the muzzzle.

Getting an accurate reading off a caliper inside a barrel can be a little tricky but your reading is in the ballpark. One barrel maker's bore diameter (land to land) I saw is advertising his air gauged and stress relieved bore diameter as .347 with a grove of .356. That's close to the industry standard, I would assume.

As far as the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers specs, I've seen their chamber, head space and pressure specs but nothing on bore diameter.

Sounds like you had a round with little powder, or just the primer.
