Any 80 gr or heavier hollow point bullet from the Self Defense lines of the larger manufacturers should be fine. XTP, Hydra-Shock, Golden Saber, Gold Dot, and the like are names to look for. The most important aspect is to determine that your gun will feed them fine and that generally takes at least 100 rounds and more often twice that much. In the very unlikely event you need the gun, you want to know there will be no ammunition problems.

As said, buy a few different brands and try them all to see what feeds the best. As for performance, do some research, read reviews, do some tests your self, ect.

This site might help a little
http://stevespages.com/page8f380acp.html

And people post reviews of ammo on the Midway site

edit: the jugs of water test works pretty well, its fast and easy. Sometimes I do test shots into wet phone books and/or newspapers (make sure all the way wet)

It comes down to first what the gun likes to feed reliably, second what you "feel" is the best for the job.

edit, again, lol: With such a short barrel, I would look for light weight bullets, to keep the velocity up. slow hollow points wont expand.
