The 45 Win mag is a rimless design so is not capable of being fired out of a 454 Casull or other firearm designed for a rimmed cartridge. The .45 mag is merely a .45 ACP with a lengthened and slightly beefed up case. It was designed for a highly modified 1911 frame from what I've seen.

Does anyone have any exp. with the 45 win mag? Can these be shot our of a 454 like a 45 Colt can?
