Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

Andy Rooney finally got it right!

simply put ---One who places the real problem on a unreal cause or situation and tries to ban/blame what they think/dream is their deepest fear and is supposedly causing the problem

A Liberial has seen the light, hmmmm is that the Topic ? If a Liberial sees the light, does that mean they had a awakening to what is just and right? Or does it just mean that Liberial has pulled his head out of his ass, but thier ears are still plugged up with crap. I don't know .... can a Lib really convert 100% without any reservations? I find that hard to concieve, but who I am .... I'm just a opininated conservative christian type believer of our ammendment rights ..... willing to fight and die for them and my country. Anyway if ya seen the light I hope ya eyes stay open long enough to learn something. God bless.

originally, Liberalism was used to define those who wished to limit the power of government and ensure a laissez faire economy. They opposed a welfare state, and wished to protect individual rights. You're thinking of Social Liberals, who are trying to create a welfare state and a huge government. Remember, the Classic Liberal (like me!) is your friend.

Hilery Clinton told Arnold Schwarzenegger if you were my husband I would poison your drink. And arnold said if you were my wife I would drink it. :D
Hmm. Sounds suspiciously like the famous Winston Churchill quote:
There is a famous exchange between Winston Churchill and Lady Astor when they were both staying at Blenheim Castle visiting the Marlboroughs. The two politicians had been at each other's throat all weekend when Lady Astor said, "Winston, if I were your wife I'd put poison in your coffee." Whereupon Winston said, "Nancy, if I were your husband I'd drink it."

Rag, I have to admit, I don't get this one either:
Someone who would FEEL BETTER if you jumped out a 10 story window.

Good points , harper....Unfortunately, in today's world what we more often think of is the liberal defined by basics (many leaning toward socialism)....Imagine , a liberal ( by today's standards) seeking to protect individual rights....like the 2nd Amendment ? Good to have some "classics " still around !
