Once again, you get a law student putting his skills to the test to try and help a fellow gun-enthusiast out.

This site contains all CA statutes with the keyword "ammunition". The answer to your question and many others can be found in any number of the provided listings. http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/c ... ammunition

This statute from the CA Penal Code gives some guidance.
PENAL CODE SECTION 12320-12325
http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/cacodes/p ... 12325.html

In short, it prohibits "ammunition designed primarily to
penetrate metal or armor". Talk to a REPUTABLE ammunition dealer and they will be able to give you guidance based on that definition.

Once again: I am not a CA lawyer. My thoughts on the matter are not meant to be taken as official legal advice or as a definitive interpretation of the law. (I realize this sounds paranoid, but law students need to be REALLY clear when there is an appearance that we are giving legal advice)

Your problem is that you aren't living in a state, you are living in a socialist republic. Don't ask questions, just let your nanny take care of you.
