I really don't think you can go wrong with either one but I would say the XD is a better buy with the goodies that they give you

Well I just got back from picking up the XD-45. Got all the gear with it. Just a sweet pistol.

Paid $549 which I think is full retail but they threw in a free hour on the range and a box of Winchester 230 grain full metal jacket ammo. So that's like $25-$30.

Thanks for the advice guys. The Glock is a sweet gun too, but I like getting "the latest greatest" sometimes.
