Challenge: My S&W Sigma .40VE vs. your Glock

I like my new enhanced Sigma a lot, so much in fact I will say it performs better than your stock Glock. Anyone in southern Wisconsin or or northern Illinois care to put this to the test at the range?

Man I wish we were closer, Im in east Texas, I would let my G35 spank your Sigma. :D
I wish you were closer too! Still no local takers for my .40 Glock-Sigma showdown.
I've owned and shot both, my money day in and day out would be on the Glock and I am not a great fan of them. The Sigma is S&W's poor attempt at copying the Glock and didn't get it right, even including the lawsuit over the trigger (Glock should not have sued over that, I would not have wanted the Sigma trigger even mentioned in the same breath as my product). I would say the lack of response is much the same as no one taking up a challenge to drag from the guy with an AMC Gremlin.
LOL seriously that is rich. People bitching about the sigma trigger is like constant. This gun is solid. you might not like your Glock but I love my Sigma. So people are just worried about my prowess with a pistol I see. Can't compete with this?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta6jjNWdi8s
 well when someone steps up to test it they can brag! (If they beat me) Until all I can say is that I own a Smith and Wesson Sigma .40VE made in the USA purchased for half the price of your Glock with a lifetime warranty (2099 to be precise) so step to the plate Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois Glock or Springfield XD or whatever owners.......god bless america, lets test our range skills!
Beat you doing what exactly? Shooting concrete blocks at 10 feet?
beat my shooting at ten yards, first malfunction disqualifies.
stock as a rock S&W sigma .40VE with open sights vs. your .40 caliber Glock with open sights, indoor range only, standard pistol targets or silhouette.

Plastic has no place on a gun. Glock or Sigma, it's still just a pretender.

I also love my SW40Ve and love my S&W M&P .40 even more. By making this challenge you put yourself into a category that I think is the worst about most Glock owners... Namely, smug or cocky.

Besides the weird grip feel and angle of the Glock's, I will probably never own one again because the smug tendancies of many Glock community members. It sours the brand.

I've shot plenty of Glock's and assorted semi-autos and feel that almost every one is only as precise as the user.
I'd have to say I've shot both and while a smith owner enthusiast myself, own a 4043, a 37P, a 586 and a 686, I would have to give this one to the glock. I am not a huge fan of glocks, but as much grief as everyone gives them, they are exceptional guns. Rarely if ever malfunction and shoot well, but it all comes down to a matter of preference. I feel as if the 57 lb. trigger pull on the sigmas is a major downfall for this gun. Being that the keys to accurate and repeatable shooting with a handgun is grip, sighting, and "trigger squeeze", this rough, long, hard trigger makes it "more" difficult to acheive repeatable accurate results. Not to say that it can't be done, but I don't like a gun that I have to "get used to". why buy a gun if it's going to take u 6 months to become proficient with it? I do believe that the sigmas have the potential to be decent guns with a good trigger job, but anyone expecting to get the same results shooting an entry level handgun like the sigma as they do with a top level gun like a glock is in for a surprise. This is why s&w made the sigma, to be an entry level, inexpensive alternative to the more expensive models. In the end, you get what you pay for. Accurate shooting to me isn't tearing up a cinder block at 10 yards, it's grouping like I do with my model 37, silver dollar at 10 yards. Do that with your sigma and then maybe I'll make the trip to wisconsin to show you up with a borrowed glock.

Actually, it really wouldn't matter what gun I used, I'm pretty sure I can take you based on your video. I shoot an M&P Pro and I'm a Master in IDPA and B in USPSA Production. I'm not saying that to brag or to be cocky like you as there are MANY top shooters much better than I am, but you are not one of them. You should learn to shoot before posting such challenges. Would you be willing to shoot a local IDPA ot USPSA match against me...winner gets the loser's gun? Here is one of my recent videos shooting a local USPSA Match. 95% A's (center mass hits smaller than a cinder block) FWIW. I would say the closest targets in the video are 15 yards out with the farther targets out to 25 yards.

I may be shooting the Wisconsin IDPA State Match this year. Let me know, I could always use a new gun!
