I found a real nice Colt Government 1911 45AP in a gun shop. It was nickel and the owner said it was made in the 1970's. It was in the orginal box and looked well maintained. Any ideas as to its value???

Ralph, you're going to need more detailed information then that. Stop in a book store and buy or look into a copy of The Blue Book of Gun Values.

If you can get the serial # and anything else off the slide, like markIV oranything else.As Blacky states the book of gun values can help pinpoint value as well as date and other info. Jack
