Colt Officers' Model Target

I'm interested in a .22 Officers' Target. I believe it is a second issue, but I'm not certain. The serial number is in the 171xx range. Is this a D-frame gun? Many thanks.

i know this is an old post, but on the chance you may still need the info. your gun was made in 1937. officers models of this time frame were made on the e-frame. a few d-frame .22`s that come to mind are the courier, cobra, diamondback and police positive target. prewar officers mod in .22 cal are desireable guns. i have a early post war gun {1948}that i enjoy shooting. hope this helps dux
