I just won an auction for a Colt Python with an 8" barrel! If all goes well I should have it within a week or so. I'll be sure to get pics up when I get it.

Now THAT is a treasure to add to your collection! Big time congratulations. :D
I've wanted a Colt Python for quite a while now and it finally arrived today. With six S&Ws in the safe my Border Patrol (avatar) was feeling outgunned. I had to find it a friend. :) My ghostly white hands kept reflecting off the gun. Those aren't blemishes.

Very nice grips! You have acquired a masterpiece and, without doubt, the most magnificent and perfectly made, mass produced revolver in history. :D

Now... have you yet noticed the major defect in those pictures? :?

They were not taken on my dining room table!

Thanks Paul. :D I bet you can guess where I got the grips, they are exceptional. As far as that "defect" as you put it, I think I can live with it.
Nice. Real nice. How does it shoot?
I haven't had a chance yet but I'll let you know when I get it out.
FB2,

I am very impressed with that Python. Well done!!
Well, it's been over a year... are ya tired  of that ol' Python yet?
Wanna sell it? Huh? Huh?
I really want one of those before I die, but I'm low on $$$ and running  outta years! Yours is a beauty in those pix. Glad for ya!

I think I'll be keeping this one. :D
I'm not sure but I'll see if I can find out.
It may be 1964 if the date of manufacture list I found is accurate.
