I dont believe so. Do they cycle in the gun? Do they lock the slide back? Shoot em and find out.

I recently purchased a Kimber Custom II. 
It came with a 7 round magazine. I have some old M1911A1, military colt 8 round magazines. I have tried them (empty) and they seem to fit just as well as the 7 round magazine.
Is there any reason that these wouldn't work in the gun :?:
