Hi from Australia,

Just bought my first new pistol,
An S&W 627-5, prior to this sidearm my only other pistols have been a 92-SB and an S&W model 14,
Everything I have heard about the 627-5 has been positive,
looking forward to the weekend so I can get a chance to shoot the thing,
What are the forum members opinion on the 627-5?

I don't have any direct experience with the 627, but I have a 629 in .44 Mag that I bought last year, and I have a 66-5 in .357 that I picked up used. I love them both. I have owned lesser quality revolvers, and regretted every one of them. I am sure you will enjoy your new S&W immensely- they don't make junk. Happy shooting!

My opinion of any N frame is I love it! I'm jealous because I do not have an N frame .357 yet. Hoping for a 28-2 one of these days. I'm not really up on the 627 -- what barrel length did you get?
