I have a 32 rimfire revolver with a 2in. octagonal rifled barrel marked on top(HARTFORD ARMS CO. U.S.A.)(NEW 32 CAL.NO.the last digit is'nt stamped clearly. On one side is(PAT.DATE APR.23 1878)on the other side is stamped(WARRANTED CAST STEEL).It is engraved on the barrel, cylinder, and frame, has a spur trigger and black checked birds head grips with crossed flags near the butt and a shield around the grip screw. The gun is either nickle or chrome plated with over 95% finish intact, grips are perfect, and pistol is in operating condition.I would like to know the value of the piece. I found one like it ,but in much poorer shape, less than 40% finish,no rifleing visible, cracked grips,no engraving and they were asking $195 for it.
