I was wondering how many people all of you have introduced to the shooting sports so far. I think that if we all teach as many people a year as we can how to shoot and be safe as well as educate them about guns (meaning teach them guns aren't evil) then we will eventually guarantee that the media and politicians who dramatize gun violence and misrepresent gun owners will be ignored.

To date I have introduced:
My father, my brother, one coworker, and a friend to shooting.

In the next few months I will take:
My aunt and uncle, my boss, another coworker, another friend, and my mother shooting with me.

That's a total of ten people so far and four of them were/are antigun. Let's convert the masses! :p

Back when I was working in Troy, I would take my coworkers to the range at lunch time. I'd say I've taken about 15-17 first timers to the range. A few of them bought guns of their own, at least one of them now has a CCW.

I'm taking my family shooting this saturday! We've been trying to plan this for a long time and it is finally going to happen. My brother has shot before (skeet/trap) but this will be his first time with a handgun. I'm also taking my aunt and uncle because they want a gun for home defense and decided on a handgun since it's easier to hide. My aunt has never liked guns and never imagined she would have one but she is really eager to try it. Now I just need to get this weeks paycheck and stock up on ammo. :D :D :D
