I just acquired a Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 mag w/ 7-1/2" barrel. I really want to try and take a doe with it this year (assuming I get my buck first). I don't think I'm going to put a scope on it yet. What kind of holster do you guys prefer?

do you want your handgun to be in a case- take out and hold
or do you want it accessable-

two choices- on the hip or in a shoulder type holster
I use both with my 357 mags
shoulder type under your coat could be considered concealed-

I've got a BlawkHawk in 45LC that's got a 7.5'' barrel. I have a hip holster, but to me it just ain't comfortable for carrying AND sitting. What I ended up with was a crossdraw holster. Talk about comfortable! Driving my truck, sitting in/on deerstand and carrying. Quick access with less movement.
