Anyone else?
Good gun at a nice price.
I call mine "rocky" or "my piece".
It's a mil spec parkerized M1911-A1 similar to the Springfield "GI.45". Didn't like the grips so I put Colt factory grips on it. Will post pics as soon as possible.

I bet Pistolworld will be a big success!

Ditto.
Ok, here it is before I changed the grips on it, if I can remember how to post a picture...

I believe its made by the same people who do Charles Daly and Armscor pistols.

Made in the Phillipines, I believe, they have a good reputation as a plain but serviceable weapon. :wink:
Looks nice :wink: I have an Auto Ordnance and recently began having problems with it (see gunsmithing section). I have never herd anything bad about Rock Island. As far as I know they make a good gun at a good price. Hope you have fun with it :)

P.S. Let's see those new grips 8)
Well, here it is with the new grips, new recoil buffer (think thats what its called, goes on the guide rod between the recoil spring and butt of the guide rod) resting happily in its case.

Like the feel of these grips much better than the old ones, and like the looks of them better too. Called the old ones "broom handle grips" :)

let 'er rip,
