I'm Not Sure

I've heard good and bad things about Taurus revolvers and the Taurus company in general. My experience has been limited to Colts, S&Ws, and Rugers, so I don't really know for myself how good (or bad) a Taurus revolver really is. However, I would like to break my trend of Colts, S&Ws, and Rugers and try something new. But before I drop the cash I'd like some imput on whether they're worth the money. Any imput is REALLY appreciated.

I've been told by several sources that the new guns are of very good quality. The lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either, but I would want quality upfront. I have always been leery of Taurus but lately I've heard enough good things about them that I would buy one if I found one I want.
I own a Taurus Tracker in .45LC. It's got a 4" barrel and is magnaported at the factory. Accurate as heck and smooth (almost) as a Python. I love it. By the way, it's built like a tank and reminds me more of a Ruger than the S&W it was copied from.
Taurus usually gets very good reviews in Gun Tests magazine.
They usually get very good accuracy and often have good
comments on their triggers and shooting in general.
re: ALL GOOD IN MY BOOK

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A MODEL 66S 357 FROM MY FATHER AND QUITE HONESTLY IT IS THE MOST ACCURATE PISTOL I HAVE EVER SHOT! I'VE HEARD A LOT OF PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE FRONT BLADE ON TAURUS PISTOLS BUT I CAN HONESTLY SAY"I LOVE IT!"
NOW I KNOW WHY DAD WOULD NOT SELL IT TO ME FOR YEARS -
IT'S JUST WAY TOO MUCH FUN TO SHOOT.
I have a Tracker in .357. Great shooting gun. I have had it for over two years now, no trouble. It's my backpacking gun for Colorado. It's seen some dirt and dust.
Do not let the price fool you. I have three Taurus firearm one is 66 357 mag very good pistol are reliable as my Ruger Sp101. The other two are pt92 (IMHO better than beretta). One is brand new Rail under the frame fired so far 400 standard loads and 300+p loads. Loads are 124gr +p from Black Hills, Winchester, and Federal. Black Hills are the hottest, sounds like a 40 cal. I did modify the pistol with a sprinco recoil system and Hogue grips, recoil is not and issue and thriple tabs and double taps are easy to hit the target out to 15 yards. The last is my father Taurus pt92 made in early 90's fired thousands of rounds. I remember some misfies, but do to the cheap bulk ammo used. This pistol never stovepiped or jammed. I have other makes but rely on my 92 as my home gun. I also heard of some problems with Taurus, but also heard problems with Sigs (another good brand), Glocks, Berettas and Rugers.
