Greetings! I recently inherited a beautiful Colt vest pocket 25 auto with mother of pearl handles. I also received a pistol, marked J Stevens arms company, Chicopee Falls, Mass USA,serial # 16660 with a star in front of the number. The only other mark is a small circle with a circle inside. It's rifled and I believe it to be either 25 or 22 calibur single shot. The handle has metal down the back and covering the butt of the handle. Can anyone help me identify what I have? I think it needs a new firing pin. I live in Greeley Co and cannot find a reputable gunsmith. Thanks!!!!

this type gun was popular around the turn of the century, they are refered to as a pocket rifle, some having a wire type detachable stock. available in several rimfire calibers fron .22 to .32, dont think they were available in centerfire. a desireable little gun especially in high condition and having the optional stock. how about posting a photo?? hope this helps some
