Its been a while since I priced them but I think the E. Ger and Surplus Russian would be in the 350/400 + range while the Bulg around 230 ish. Commercial Russians about the same as Bulg's, maybe a little less.
They all are kinda scarce anymore. If you see one reasonable to your liking you had better take it home.
Make sure that its a true Makarov and not a P-63/4 or what ever. Most dealers you see call anything in the 9x18 caliber a Mak which is simply NOT true.
Thats the magical question. Try the gun auction sites, google, try one of the many gun forums and place a WTB listing. Makarov dot com used to handle them but they have liquidated and moved on. Umm, search for Military surplus firearms.
If you don't already know, the E. German are the most sought after.
I have a Bulgi and a commercial unfired Russian hi-cap (12 rnd) in 380. I reload for the 9x18.
If I think of any other ideas as far as sources go, I'll let you know - here.
