Does anybody know of different iron sites for the Mark series of pistols?

I have a Mark II Government model bull barrel that I use for silhouette shooting. I need to find finer sites. The huge front blade covers up the targets.

Any leads or info for different sites would be much appreciated.

You should resight so that your intended target sits atop the front sight and is not covered by it.

If you choose to retain your sight picture and want to change your sights, the rear sight is a standard 3/8 dovetail.... Williams, Micro, or Lyman may have something for you - check Brownell's, Midway, Lyman/Pachmayr, etc. I'm not sure about the Mark II, but on the Mark I, front sight alteration calls for a good gunsmith.

Besides being able to see the target better are there other advantages to this method? I guess IMO it would be harder to find the center of the target when you see a "flat" line as your site picture.
