I bought this S&W Model 25-5 just over a month ago and finally received it today. It had some issues that the seller was kind enough to have fixed before shipping it. The trigger is 3.5 lbs and the finish is simply stunning. Now I need to find some grips for it.

(These are the seller's original pics. My camera could never do this.)

I now have my Dads 357 N frame Highway Patrolman that I am banging away with. Between me and my wife and daughter shooting I am keeping my loading press busy. First hand gun that my wife can actually hit anything with. I am loading some 125 gr JHP 38 Spcl loads for her and my girl.

This is one nice shooting gun.

I have a 25-10 that I love. The grips are different from other N-frames that I have or have held. Wish I had some for my other guns.

I am new to the Pistol World forum, and and am somewhat computer iliterate. I would love to see the pictures of your pistol, but only see a box with a red X in the center of it. How can I view the pictures of your gun, and the pictures of other's guns also?
I also share your love of the S&W N frame revolvers. My all time favorite is the mod. 27s I have several of them. I also like the mod. 57 .41 Mag. and the .44 mag. I am also fortunate to have one of the 38/44 HDs, But I have never acquired one like yours yet.
Thanks.

Pics in my account come and go over time. Here is the model 25 mentioned above and my S&W model 27 with my other nickel plated guns. I sold my model 629 to a friend last week but I can't afford to shoot 44 magnum often anyway so I won't miss it.

Thanks for the pictures. Those are unsual grips on the 25. They almost look like stone. I tried to post pictures of my mod. 27s , but the forum kicked them and the post out and wouldn't let me post them.

The model 25 came with a hogue monogrip that looked horrible and can promote rust. The grips in the picture are buckeye burl that I bought from don collins. If you do a google search for don collins grips you'll find his website.

The forum will only allow pictures that are hosted elsewhere on the net as far as I know. I use photobucket.com (its free) and use the IMG tags around the picture's url to post pics on the forum.

I have owned about a half dozen N frames, and I have never had a bad one. Currently own a .45ACP DA revolver from about 1937. It has become my favorite revolver in nearly 40 years of handgun shooting. Have owned several Model 29's and a few Hiway Patrolman's, and I'd love to find another 4" Hiway patrolman when I have money.

Enjoy!
