At our local indoor pistol range we found several empty casings of 5.8X28. Google told us that this is a CZ pistol round of some kind with a velocity of around 2100 fps. We're concerned about damage to our backstop. Can anyone out there shed some light on this bullet? Thanks.

It might depend upon the bullet traps you are using.
I have owned and operated my indoor range for twenty years In fact I just celebrated my 20th year the first of the month.

I doubt seriously that these rounds will damage your plates at all but again what traps do you have and I can better tell you what to expect.

I have let people shoot them for a long time with no problems at all.
