I would appreciate someone giving me an idea of what this pistol is worth. It has been in the family since new.Just curious at this point.

125 Anniversary (1977)
S&W .45 long colt
6 1/2 " barrel
double blued
Never fired in wood presentation box with book and medalian

Since you said it's a .45 LC, I assume it's a Model 25.

If so, the latest Blue Book lists shows a 100% specimen to be $700. The presentation box would add some value, but I'm not sure how much. The "125th Anniversary" doesn't add any value, unless you can find a collector who's trying to acquire one of each model produced in that year.

Kind of like Ruger firearms.... every single one of all models produced in 1976 were marked "Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty".... it adds nothing to the value.
