Hello, I need help in identifying an antique pistol that was my grandfathers. We know absolutely nothing about it except that it appears to be a 22 of sorts. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we couldn't seem to find anything just looking through books my grandfather had on the mark or anything. Thanks

The closest proof mark I could find is that of a German proof mark for weapons which were made before the 1891 German law regarding proof marks.

The "V" shows that it was voluntarily submitted for testing.

I could not find any other proof marks that even come close.
