New Kimber Ultra Covert

Hey ya'll. I just put a new Kimber Ultra Covert II on layaway. I am usually a Glock man having owned a Glock 19,23, and 30. I was looking for a new pistol since I had to sell all of mine a year ago (needed money for bills), and even after looking at several Glock models that I have been happy with for years, the only pistol to really jump out at me was the Kimber. It felt great, and is perfect size for concealed carry. I have only shot a Kimber one time, and I loved it, but it was an Eclipse Pro. What do you think? Am I making a good choice by going with the 3" Ultra?

Well, I have the Kimber Ultra Carry II and I love it. Fits my hand really good and gets back on target pretty fast too. I'm thinking you'll be happy with it !
Thanks. Do you have the CT grips on yours? I cant wait to pick mine up. I guess that's the problem with dropping 1400 on a pistol if your not loaded. I should have mine in about 3 weeks though. So how is the accuracy for your Ultra?
Yeah... I have he CT grips...got 'em on my S&W .38 spcl also ! Very nice....
As far as accuracy goes, I like to think that it's realative to the shooter..... so I compare how I shoot it with how I shoot my other handguns (.38, .32, 9mm ). I shoot the Kimber better than the others, though not by a lot. You can certainly put a lot of holes in the target's center

Before I bought it, I talked to several very good shooters and the owner of the range I shoot at. They all recommended it hands down. I tried some of the other .45's ( including the Glock) and nothing felt as good to me as the Kimber.
Well, I have only shot one other 1911, and that was a kimber pro eclipse that a buddy of mine bought. I loved it!!! I was carrying a Glock 30 at the time, and I was way more accurate with the Kimber, hands down. But I'm sure the CT grips will help also. Thanks for the input!! :D
You will love it. I cant say anything bad about the Glock. I have a few for nasty weather carry but the 1911 is a different animal and is so much easier to shoot well. The Glock is a tool the 1911 is a working piece of art.
