I have been loading rifle cartridges for some time now and have just started reloading 38spcl/357Mag. I am loading 125 gr Rem JHP's with 9.9 gr of Blue Dot and Win primer and the loads seem to be working well. Started light so my wife and daughter could get familiarized with handgun shooting. With those two shooting 50 rounds don't go very far.

I am using Lee equipment and a Lee powder measure that is throwing consistent charges. Took some learning to seat and crimp the bullet without crunching the case though. :x

This load is real manageable out of my Dads old S&W Highway Patrolman. For the 357 Mag loads I am using a Rem 140 gr JHP with 14 gr of Blue Dot.

That S-W will handle the loads but make sure you don't try that 125 gr load in a 38 ---------Bad things will happen if it is run thru a 38----The other load is 1/2 gr under max--------your S-W is a N frame---not to be confused with a J frame .38
