Can you really make a 1911 in 40S&W and still call it a 1911?

anyone shot one? Have opinions.

I bought a LDA Para 14 45 and its similar to a 1911 except it holds 15 rounds and is a double action. At least it has the right shape and a thumb safety in the right place. If you can call a Llama pistol a 1911 then the Para is a 1911.
