Yup

If you're a handloader, and you're shooting a Ruger SA, you can load some really stout 180 grain loads.... 15.0 grains of Hodgdon Lil Gun. But that's still on the light side for pigs.

Do not try that load with a Smith or a Colt DA.... they are not up to the task.

I took a very nice 250 + boar with a Dan Wesson .357 using 180 grain Partition Golds. It took all six rounds to anchor that hog. I recommend a 200gr hard cast bullet in a 357 for Boar, I did witness a couple of one shot kills using the 200gr. hardcast.
