a buddy of mine and i are just now starting to look at getting pistols. iv been around rifles my hole life and well hes like santa going on an easter egg hunt he has no idea. we were wondering wht would be the best kinda guns for us we^re lookin for something comfortable, mag fed, got to be able to fit a silencer and $500 or less. can any one help? im thinkin bout a walther p22. wht do u guys think?

"confortable" is subjective and will vary with individual. if you can find a gun shop/show/rental range in your area to feel/handle/shoot if you can.

some people have had issues with the P22, some havent. same for the Mosquito.

everyone seems to like the Ruger autos. there are the brownings too.

btw, on almost any gun , you can attach a can, it all depends on how much $$ you want to spend.

also, there are some aftermarket lightweigh uppers for the Ruger and brownings that are made to accept cans.

I don't believe either the P22 or the Mosquito will accept a silencer unless you special order one with an extended, threaded barrel.

They are good pistols. Its a 9mm tho. some people dont like the grip.

you can fit just about any gun with a can. it all depends on what you want and how much $$ you have.

again, have you handling an M9?

If you havent read my previous reply, i would find a gun shop/show and spend some time there handlng as many guns as you can and see what you like in the "confort" department.

Why to you need a silencer?
Nothing good can come from such a question....please check your local laws concerning this question. No help here for the right gun to fit with a silencer :roll:

22lr pistols do make an annoying high pitch crack and it is nice to shoot without wearing hearing protection. That is one reason for supressors. However, if the barrel is more than 4.5 or 5" the bullet will still go supersonic and be fairly loud.
I have shot the P22 a few times and I wasn't very impressed. It jammed a few times but mostly just felt kind of chincey. The Ruger is a very good gun but (someone will correct me if I'm wrong) the barrel has the seriel number on it so you can't get an aftermarket barrel threaded for the can.
The buckmark is a great pistol that eats any cheap bulk pack ammo you can get. Depending on the model they are priced with the P22 or Ruger and you can get a barrel from Tactical Solutions threaded for a supressor.
