I am fairly new to handgun shooting. I have a 1911 Springfield that regularly shoots about 4 inches low at 15 feet. It has fixed sights. I am sorry if this is a newbie, dumb question, but here goes. What do you do to raise point of impact with a fixed sight pistol, other than aiming high?

Thanks for your response Pistolero. Now that I see your answer, the solutions seem obvious. However, changing the sights may not be that simple. I will call Springfield and see what they recommend.

A file can always lower the front sight. :mrgreen:
