I have just been lucky enough to be the winning bid on AuctionArms and am bringing home an ANIB Pre-1974 S&W Model 40, also known as the Centennial, .38 Spl. It books at $650 and I paid $500. It's a revolver I've wanted for a long time.
For those not familiar with this famous little 5 shot - the hump on the backstrap is, indeed, a grip safety. It'll make a good backup and "T" shirt carry gun.
I'm very happy with myself, right now.
