I was wondering about what an old S&W Triple Lock (44 HE first model) is worth. The one I'm looking at is a 4 digit serial number 9xxx. It is in better condition than the gun pictured, but has a 4" barrel insted of 6 1/2". I'd say the gun is in 95% condition, then only marring being a slight bit of blueing wear on the barrel (from being kept in a leather holster for 100 years), and the scratch line around this cylinder from the locking bolt.

Check the revolver section and give as much info as you can.

Triple locks were made for only a few years, and are pretty specialized collecter's revolvers, and don't come up for sale often. The N-Frame DA .45 I have made in about 1936 is a grandson of that triple lock, and it's a real work of art.

I could not begin to estimate a value for that gun, but I am sure you can get what you need at the S&W forum.
