My RSR came with a 2x Burris scope that I have had good luck with and a buddy has a Leupold scope on his Taurus 454. The best advice I can think of is to get a good quality scope as this cartridge does kick a bit more than the norm. A fixed power scope is the simplest and lightest which means durability as there is less to go wrong with it. In typical field positions I can't hold the gun steady enough to use more than 2x and sometimes I wish I had less magnification. A red dot might be nice if there were any that could stand up to the recoil this cartridge can dole out. Until one is made, I'll stick with iron sights and the 2x scope.
