I recently purchased a Tasco proclass 4x30 pistol scope with illuminated retectles. Its an older model before Tasco went bankrupt(2002).I called "customer no service" from Bushnell(who bought Tasco) and they couldn't tell me if this scope would hold-up to the recoil of a 44mag.Do any of you guys have any experience/knowledge about this question.I love this scope,it made it easy for my OLD EYES to see at all times when hunting.I don't want to go all-out(Burris,Loup,etc) just yet because I don't know if I'll like hunting with a t/c encore pistol.A friend mentioned the Ncstar 4x or 2-7x with the same recicles,he said they have a heck of a gaurantee and very economical.Time will tell I might be selling a t/c 44mag ss barrel and a scope(s).Thank you guys inadvance,I really need your help on this one. :? My brotherinlaw has an older Tasco(4xw/target dot) on his Contender. He's moved it back and forth between a 223 barrel and a 35 Rem barrel. If that 35 hasn't knocked the cross hairs out then its a good scope. I got a Simmons 2x7 on my 44 Encore and it's holding up pretty well also. I'd try it!
