Does anyone know if a 239 9mm can be change to a 40 easily? So it could be switched back and forth.
I took the gun to a gun show to see it a 40 mag would fit in a 9mm frame. It wouldn't fit. A friend of mine has a 40, so we put his barrel on my gun and the ejector and extractor wouldn't work. So I've come to the conclusion, it won't work.phideaux_2003 said:oh come on... it's a sig. the only thing that has to be changed out is the barrel and the mag. it's a $150 and 4 seconds worth of conversion.
the barrels are about $120 and a new mag is about $30. You just have to remember to switch the mag. It's not hard... a 9mm round will not go into a .40 mag, nor a .40 chamber. and vice versa. I'm not recommending that you do that by any means. But it's not a hard conversion.

1gsplover, try browsing the SigForum (sigforum.com).1gsplover said:The Barsto 9mm for the .40 frame looks pretty appealing to me.
Can anyone comment who has ACTUALLY INSTALLED a 9mm barrel in a .40 successfully? Oh...on a 239.
