In my quest to enlarge my collection of Colt Autos...I got my hands on a beautiful Colt Jr .22 short. My question is, before I blow up the gun, is a 29 gr. to much for this gun???????

If the ammo you use is clearly marked 22 short, then you will not harm the gun with any of the normal bullet weights. Enjoy it.

Unless I'm mistaken (and I've been wrong once or twice before) shorts and longs are only supplied with 29 grain bullets. Long rifles run from 33 to 40 grains, depending on the brand and type.

If the pistol is marked ".22 short" or something similar, then it's very simple.... shoot shorts.
