I reloaded some 45 ACP for the first time in a few years today, and I found three cases that had a small primer pocket! This is a new one on me. They were Blazer brass cases that I must have picked up with mine at the public range. I have some Blazer brass cases with a large primer pocket (as it should be). This seems like a very dangerous condition to me, especially to those loading on progressive presses.

i'm told the military was trying small primers about 3-4 years ago. Worked ok, but i'm not sure if they are still continuing that program.

I was given some once fired brass, and found some from Winchester marked 'NT' with small primer pocket. Works ok, but a pain to switch primers during reloading.
