A lot of the manufacturers website have page for production info. If nothing else, there's usually a contact area with Email addresses or a phone number.

Smith and Wesson 41 Magnum Value and Info
I am looking for a way to find a value for this gun I inherited. It is a Smith and Wesson 41 Magnum. I have the s/n but don't know if that tells me when it was produced. I think that the last part of the number is the model but I am not sure if it is or not. It is MOD 57. Can anyone give me any information of the production of this gun and maybe if it is still made or when production was stopped. Thanks
