I have a smith and wesson 681-2 stainless 357 with a 4 inch barrel. Can someone tell me about this gun. I can't find anything about it. I am looking to sell it if anyone is interested.

-From Standard Catalog Of Smith & Wesson by Supica & Nahas:

-Double Action on square butt stainless steel L service frame
-3 screws
-Stainless Steel version of Model 581
-Introduction began with serial # AAB9378 to AAL1304, although samples exist with the 'AAA' prefix, in 1981 with 1,927 units shipped.
-Regular production begins at serial # AAE3887.
-Approx 53,180 made from 1980-1992
-Model 681-2 was change of hammer nose, bushing and associated parts. c 1987
-Variations made for LE
-Some 681-2 were "Ohio State Highway Patrol" marked
-Updates go up to 682-5
-Several special productions made after it was discontinued in 1992, for Lew Horton(1996) 682-4 and Camfour Distibutors(2001) 682-5.
