i have a s&w 4 inch stainless of course, model 66, here is the part i would like some info on, its says model 66-1 then has a 2 stamped over the 1 as well. Can anyone shine some light on this for me. Is this a rare pistol? If so does it make it worth any more than a regular model 66? Any info will be appreciated!!

I'm not sure about the various changes to the 66, which is hardly rare. It looks as though it was changed after the stamping was done or it was mis-marked to begin with. Does that add value? Only if there's a collector interested in such.
