Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation Named to Russell 2000(R) and Russell 3000(R) Indexes

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation (Amex: SWB - News), parent company of Smith & Wesson Corp., the legendary 154-year old company in the global business of safety, security, protection and sport, today announced that it has been named to the Russell 3000 Index and the Russell 2000 Index when Russell Investment Group reconstituted its family of U.S. indexes on June 30, 2006.
Membership in the Russell 3000, which remains in place for one year, means automatic inclusion in the large-cap Russell 1000® Index or small-cap Russell 2000 Index as well as the appropriate growth and style indexes. Russell determines membership for its equity indexes primarily by objective, market capitalization rankings and style attributes.
