When I shot in the USMC, we had the greatest range boxes for each shooter. They held both of our Gold Cups (am I dating myself?) and all accessories very well. Anybody got an idea as to whether such a beast exists on the market?

Thanks

Paul,
While I'm not certain what you're talking about, let me tell ya what I use. I went to Sears and got one of their multi-level boxes. Mine is tall enough to sit on while shooting from the bench. I keep my front rest(outers adjustable) and 2 different rear bags in the bottom along with a stapler and 2 sets of earmuffs. The center section holds my spottingscope, tripod mount, a claw hammer and ammo for what ever i'm shooting that day. The top section has been devided into different sized sections. I keep assorted nails, extra staples, screwdrivers, allen wrenches,etc...
They are making the same box now with a set of rollers on it also. If ya can't find what you're looking for ,check out one of these.

I just looked on the Seara site and found the newest version of my box. They call it the Craftsman SST w/caddy. It sells for $29.98 .

I have one of what your talking about. It's made by Pachmayer in California. I don't know if they still make them. Mine is black with nickel plated corner protectors, and a slide out tray that holds your handguns in felt lined racks that have a thumb screw you can tighten to prevent the guns from moving around during transport. It opens from the side and the "door" stays upright. Some guys would mount a spotting scope on the door. It was a good design, but I haven't seen one for sale in a gun shop in quite a while. Years back, (1970's), you saw them everywhere. Bill T.

Paul,
Check out Champions Choice in TN, also Neal Johnson Guns in Colorado Springs. The Pachmayer is no longer made but Gun-Ho makes one qiute similar. They will also make one in a custom size. I hope that helps.

I have one of the Gun-Ho boxes and it is very nice. Shpo around, though, as some people charge way more than they should.
