wondering if anyone might know if its possible to change to a different trigger assembly on my Taurus pt 145.......extremely long trigger pull.... kinda like a cap gun.....according to taurus ....it is not adjustable, so I would have to change the complete assembly.

I'm not a Taurus fan at all, so I'm not familiar with their product line and model numbers. I'm willing to bet, though, that what you have is a striker-fired pistol..... and, if so, there is absolutely nothing that anyone can do to change the length of the trigger pull. It could possibly be made a bit lighter with some spring changes, but that's it.

If you want an autoloading pistol with a short, light trigger pull, a single action like the 1911 is the only answer. A DA/SA pistol like the Beretta has a lot of take-up when fired SA, but that part of the trigger travel is near zero effort.
