Newbe here.
Just purchased a Taurus PT145.
First two shots went well, the third misfired.
Fired on second try.
All casings after the misfire looks like the attached photo.

Is there a problem with the firing pin?
Should I send the gun to Taurus for repair?

Maybe a bad round or wasn't seated properly?

I would continue to test the firing of the gun before sending it back to be worked on. My pt145 has had zero problems in my hands, it has jammed twice when a friend was shooting. But he was a noobie and was bit by the slide twice. I believe that caused it to jam/miss feed.

Just keep shooting, if it keeps acting up, send it back :?

make sure that you degrease the pistol completely specially the striker area. This is very common that is why I'm trying to fing an extra power striker spring.
