Trapper444 In my experience with big bore handguns you end up paying in the end for trying to take the cheap route at first. I own a S&W performance center .460 and topped that with a $350 Bushnell 3200 elite 2-6X32 and after about 35 shots the scope went to heck on me. Now I’m not 100% sure however even if/when your first Simmons is destroyed that Simmons produces any scope that they could send to you that could hold up to that kind of recoil. Now the porting should help but the .500 recoil, although manageable, is still a decent amount of recoil for any optics. Knowing what I now know I would spend the extra cash and go with a Leopold, you can never go wrong there.
